Soho House opens its new creative gem in Barcelona’s Tibidabo
Barcelona once again becomes a hub of style, architecture and culture with the opening of Barcelona Pool House, the third Soho House in the city. Located in an elegant 1906 mansion on Avinguda del Tibidabo, this new House redefines contemporary luxury through an experience that blends art, gastronomy, wellness and design.
With panoramic views of the Tibidabo hills and just a short distance from the iconic Park Güell, this enclave represents the consolidation of Soho House as a global reference for the creative community.
Architectural heritage with a modern sensibility
Barcelona Pool House spans more than 2,800 m² of interior and garden space. The noucentista-style building, with modernist influences, has been meticulously restored, preserving its original features — Georgian tiles, frescoes, mouldings, stained glass and century-old parquet floors.
Every corner of the House is designed to awaken the senses. From the reception desk made of red onyx beneath a Murano glass chandelier, to the grand marble staircase adorned with ornate stucco, the space becomes a living stage where history and contemporary design meet.

The interior design combines bespoke furniture with vintage pieces sourced from Germany and Paris, Pierre Frey textiles and local craftsmanship, achieving a sophisticated yet intimate aesthetic.
The Club: between historical narrative and contemporary life
Divided into six rooms and two bars, the Club preserves the original layout of the mansion while paying homage to the family who once lived there. Spaces such as The Living Room and The Salon evoke rich character — hand-painted ceilings, silk panels, original mouldings and wide windows overlooking the pool and Tibidabo.
The Martini Bar, leather armchairs and frescoes depicting family games all contribute to a sense of refined yet relaxed living. Here, members can enjoy an elevated Mediterranean menu, featuring Cantabrian anchovies, Iberian charcuterie, oysters and Pyrenean trout, alongside a raw bar of exceptional quality.
Pen Yen: japanese cuisine with a catalan accent
On the first floor sits Pen Yen, one of Soho House’s most beloved dining concepts. The restaurant blends Japanese dishes such as hamachi with truffle yuzu, beef tataki and miso black cod with an elegant setting: open kitchen, Georgian tiles, sky-blue curtains and dark wood.
The leather-clad bar serves signature sake-based cocktails designed to pair perfectly with the menu. The experience extends onto a panoramic terrace, ideal for al fresco dining with garden and pool views. As the sun sets, the space transforms into a vibrant social spot, where music and mood lighting elevate the evening atmosphere.
Soho Health Club: regeneration in a design key
Located on the fourth floor, the new Soho Health Club Barcelona is far more than a spa. It offers treatments by SkinCeuticals, Cowshed and Omorovicza, as well as exclusive experiences like the Water Massage on a heated HydraTherm bed and the HydraFacial Body.
The gym, on the ground floor, features terracotta floors, artisanal tiles, natural light and high-performance equipment.
Nearby, the Health Club Café — the brand’s first fully vegan and vegetarian café — serves sweet potato pancakes and superfood bowls, ideal after a workout.
Members can also join pilates, yoga and precision training sessions, and access LED therapies or IV infusions, all curated for holistic health and mindful well-being.
The Garden and Pool: mediterranean at its purest
The exterior is a private oasis.
In the garden, surrounded by fountains, native vegetation and upholstered benches, an outdoor dining area serves wood-fired Mediterranean dishes such as bone-in rib eye, Mediterranean sole and oxtail cannelloni.
Just a few steps away lies the 14-metre pool, framed by iconic striped Soho House daybeds and bathed in the soft, golden light of Tibidabo.
Surrounded by cypress trees and quiet mountain air, it’s the perfect spot to unwind — whether with a signature cocktail in hand, a refreshing dip between meetings, or a light Mediterranean dish from the open kitchen, designed for slow afternoons and sun-drenched conversations.
Art in dialogue with architecture
One of Soho House’s defining traits is its commitment to local art. At Barcelona Pool House, the permanent collection features over 80 works by 30 artists connected to the city — including Eva Fàbregas, Regina Giménez, Antoni Tàpies, Bea Bonafini, Ana Monsó and Josep Maynou.

The artworks are thoughtfully integrated with the mansion’s frescoes and decorative motifs. Highlights include Eva Fàbregas’ Polifilia series on paper and Iván Forcadell’s paintings on domestic linen at the Fresco Bar — an elegant dialogue between past and present, heritage and modernity.
