Buchanan Studio: the art of crafting worlds that inspire
In the heart of West London, there’s a place where imagination and functionality go hand in hand — where spaces become poetic settings and every piece of furniture tells a story. That place is Buchanan Studio, the creative firm founded in 2018 by Angus and Charlotte Buchanan, a couple who have redefined contemporary design by blending aesthetics, craftsmanship and soul.

This multidisciplinary studio doesn’t simply design interiors or furniture — it creates worlds, atmospheres that seduce, provoke and enchant. From private residences to large-scale brand installations and highly coveted collections, their work exudes British character, bohemian sensitivity and a modern romanticism that is impossible to ignore.
The poetry of detail: the Buchanan universe
Creative director Angus Buchanan is a master of world-building — the ability to craft scenographies rich in narrative, texture and depth. Trained in set design under legends such as Mario Testino and Michael Howells, he has carried that theatrical vision into every project. Whether it’s a living room, a catwalk or a chair, each piece becomes a work of art with a story to tell.

By his side, Charlotte Buchanan, the studio’s CEO, brings a sharp strategic intelligence that has enabled the brand’s bold, coherent international expansion. With her refined eye, she leads collaborations, collections and partnerships that have firmly positioned Buchanan Studio as a reference in soulful design.
The Daydream Collection: a dream reflected in steel and marble
Some collections are born from craftsmanship; others from reverie. The Daydream Collection belongs to the latter. It is an ode to the surreal beauty of reflections, to the purity of geometric forms, and to the ability to turn a hard material like stainless steel into a soft, almost magical sensory experience.

Here, light plays a starring role — it multiplies, glides and lingers on the polished curves of tables and ottomans as if telling its own story. The clean lines of the Shape Table — available in triangle, circle or square — converse with the textures of marble, oak and metal.

The Prism Table appears to float, striking a perfect balance between architecture and emotion. The Studio Ottoman, reimagined in steel, becomes a sculptural centrepiece; while the Muse Table, with its brass wheels and new metallic silhouette, reinforces the irresistible blend of romanticism and utility that defines the brand.
More than furniture, these are artistic compositions that capture movement, light and the desire to inhabit spaces that are truly unique.
The Outdoor Collection: a declaration of aesthetic freedom
Outdoor living takes on new meaning through the lens of Buchanan Studio. The Outdoor Collection celebrates simple hedonism — the joy of open spaces and the pleasure of design built to last.
Inspired by the Buchanan family’s love of the outdoors in every season, this collection reimagines two of their most iconic pieces — the Studio Chair and Studio Stool — for exterior landscapes, without losing a single ounce of their sculptural identity.

The refined yet robust frames are engineered to withstand sun, rain and time itself. But beyond function, it’s the form that captivates: the curves, the fabrics, the colours. Upholstered in the new Wild Fabric Collection, these pieces take comfort to its highest level with textiles that marry beauty and technology.

Classic stripes, bold checks, earthy tones and touches of pink: this Italian-woven textile collection turns every chair into a promise of endless summer. Whether on an urban terrace or a country garden, the Outdoor Collection invites you to live, feel and dream without walls or limits.
Tessellate: the power of order transformed into art
When geometry meets creative instinct, it becomes visual poetry. That’s exactly what Tessellate is: the first international collaboration between Buchanan Studio and Swiss design icon USM, pioneers of modular systems.
“When geometry meets creative instinct, it becomes visual poetry.”
More than a collection, Tessellate is an aesthetic manifesto: eleven pieces that reinterpret the iconic USM Haller system through the bold, graphic and colourful lens of the London studio. From the elegantly functional Bar Trolley to the Kiss and Cube bedside tables, alongside benches, desks and shelving units — every piece is modular, versatile and undeniably contemporary.

Buchanan Studio’s signature checkerboard motif appears in a vibrant palette of reds, whites, blacks, and a custom-created hue: the charismatic BS Pink. The studio’s textiles and marble tops add texture, depth and sophistication, while USM’s Swiss precision ensures flawless quality.
In the words of Angus Buchanan, “Tessellate explores the principles of tessellation: repetition, symmetry and adaptability. This collaboration is a celebration of design as a living, evolving system”.

One studio, a thousand worlds
In a time when design so often skims the surface, Buchanan Studio goes deeper. It tells stories through objects. It creates places we want to stay in, explore, remember.
“Buchanan Studio tells stories through objects.”

Whether through a fashion set, an ephemeral installation or a singular piece of furniture, the studio proves that true luxury lies in detail, in narrative, in authenticity. Their London showroom is a haven for dreamers. Their online shop, a catalogue of timeless pieces. And their growing community recognises in every curve, every stitch and every finish, a universe of its own.
Buchanan Studio doesn’t design to fill space. It designs to inhabit emotion.
