They also collaborate with brands like DUX, whose beds are designed to last, with replaceable and upgradable components to reduce waste, and with Aiayu, whose bedding is made from certified organic cotton, ensuring fair wages and ethical practices throughout production.
As if that weren’t enough, they only use Nordic Swan Ecolabel cleaning products to ensure their environmental footprint is minimized to the fullest.
Audo House: a historic building transformed into a space that breathes modernity
The headquarters of the brand, Audo House, located at Århusgade 130, is itself an architectural masterpiece. This historic building, dating back to 1918, spans 2,500 square meters. Its neobaroque structure embodies more than a century of Scandinavian design tradition.
Its name, derived from the Latin Ab Uno Disce Omnes (“From one, learn about all”), expresses the idea that by observing or learning from a specific case, one can understand or deduce the behavior or nature of all similar cases.
Originally, the house was owned by a merchant who commissioned the decorative adornments on the building’s façade. From that era, the preserved neobaroque façade contrasts and complements the new, contemporary interior that breathes modernity and warmth.
The current renovation was carried out by Norm Architects in 2019 and exemplifies the brand’s philosophy: the perfect integration of old and new.
Interestingly, Audo House is part of a heritage-listed area known as “The Red City”. However, during the renovations by Norm Architects, they chose to slightly alter the red color to better align with Audo‘s identity, offering a subtle yet significant update to the building’s historical appearance.
Today, this multifunctional space combines a showroom, hotel, café-restaurant, and event venue, providing an environment where Audo Copenhagen‘s furniture and objects are presented in their natural context, inviting visitors to experience design in a tangible way. With 4.5-meter windows that flood the space with natural light and a material palette ranging from steel to wood and concrete, every corner of Audo House is designed to inspire a sense of home and belonging.

Audo Residence: the pinnacle of danish design turned boutique hotel
Audo Residence offers a self-sufficient experience that feels like a #homeawayfromhome, allowing you to customize your stay to your preferences.
The residence is located within Audo House, which also features a restaurant-café offering a menu of fresh, local dishes. Unlike the conventional hotel setup, Audo Residence offers a relaxed atmosphere where guests can unwind and be inspired by carefully curated interiors featuring Audo Copenhagen products.
In contrast to traditional 24-hour reception and concierge services, staying at Audo Residence means living a unique experience.
Each of its 9 rooms has been furnished with Audo Copenhagen furniture, in collaboration with other brands they frequently partner with, such as St. Leo paints on the walls, the exquisite DUX beds—the most comfortable we’ve experienced—FRAMA bathroom amenities, and Aiayu bedding and textiles in the cozy rooms. The house also showcases artworks by various artists, including paintings by Julie Haverkamp, mural art and sculptures by Atelier Plateau, and selected vintage art pieces.

Among its latest releases is Brasilia, Audo Copenhagen‘s new collection that unites Scandinavia and Brazil, blending the sobriety and functionality of Nordic design with the sensuality and warmth of Brazilian modernism.
The Brasilia collection, which includes sofas, armchairs, and side tables, pays tribute to both the modernist capital of Brazil and the architectural aesthetics of Oscar Niemeyer, whose work deeply influenced mid-century interior design.
Each piece in the collection reflects this cultural fusion, focusing on organic geometric forms, noble materials, and a visual warmth that challenges the traditional limits of Scandinavian minimalism.

Located in the revamped Nordhavn harbor, one of the most modern areas of Copenhagen, Audo House also benefits from its surroundings. Situated northeast of the city, Nordhavn aims to become one of the greenest districts in the world. Along its streets, you’ll find modern residential, office, and commercial buildings, many of which have been constructed using recycled materials and renewable energy sources. A network of bicycles and electric public transport facilitates mobility, while wind and water power provide much of the district’s electricity.
One of Nordhavn’s main attractions is its focus on waterfront living. Its clean and accessible canals invite locals and visitors alike to enjoy water activities such as swimming or kayaking.
