If you follow us on Instagram (@ccmagazine.es), you may have seen that we’ve launched a collaboration with the Danish brand KVADRAT, an undisputed leader in the textile industry.

KVADRAT: Design, Quality, and Commitment to Sustainability
Founded in 1968 in Denmark, this company has transformed the way we think about textiles, merging creativity, functionality, and a firm commitment to the environment. With a portfolio that ranges from high-end fabric creation to innovative design solutions, KVADRAT has left an indelible mark on sectors such as fashion, architecture, and interior design.
The name KVADRAT, which means “square” in Danish, reflects the geometric simplicity that defines its approach to design. Over the years, the brand has successfully combined tradition and innovation, opting for materials that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. Each KVADRAT collection is a mix of minimalist aesthetics and cutting-edge textile technology.
Their fabrics are synonymous with durability and comfort, ideal for large-scale architectural projects, as well as luxury interiors that seek a perfect balance between beauty and resilience. The company works with a wide range of materials, from cotton and wool to innovative fabrics incorporating recycled fibers and sustainable materials.
One of the pillars of KVADRAT is its strong commitment to sustainability, a value that has been integral to the brand since its inception. In a textile industry traditionally criticized for its environmental impact, KVADRAT has demonstrated that it is possible to innovate without sacrificing the planet. As a result, in its production processes, KVADRAT employs technologies that minimize waste and carbon footprint, striving to offer circular solutions that enable the reuse and recycling of its products at the end of their life cycle.
The company has implemented several eco-friendly practices, including the use of recycled materials and the creation of fabrics that not only meet the highest quality standards but are also environmentally responsible.
Furthermore, KVADRAT has pioneered collaborations with designers and artists who share its vision of a more sustainable textile industry, such as architect Bjarke Ingels and interior designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.
KVADRAT & The Unusual Travel Guides
A few months ago, we launched the third edition of The Unusual Travel Guides, a very special edition that not only includes updated and new content for Madrid and Barcelona but also features an interview with recommendations from filmmaker Isabel Coixet for the Barcelona guide and artist and designer Jaime Hayon for the Madrid guide.
As with previous editions, the third edition of The Unusual Travel Guides has been printed with high-quality Fedrigoni paper in a FSC-certified print shop. The packaging is made from 100% recyclable multi-layer PET plastic bags.
Our collaboration with KVADRAT is included with both guides. This means that the first 25 people who purchase the guides from our online store, citycurator.es, will receive a tote bag from this amazing brand as a gift.
