UVNT 2025: The fair that redefines contemporary art in Madrid
The contemporary art scene in Madrid is once again pulsating with energy as a new edition of UVNT Art Fair arrives, with CC/magazine as a Media Partner. This event, now firmly established as one of the most exciting gatherings on the international circuit, returns with a programme set to surprise and set new trends.
Since relocating to Matadero Madrid, the fair has evolved into a hub of artistic exploration and discovery, attracting both emerging talents and established names in contemporary art. UVNT does not merely exhibit art—it transforms it into a sensory and intellectual experience. Immersive installations, cutting-edge digital works, and a remarkable rise in ceramics as an artistic discipline make this fair a space where the boundaries of creativity blur.
More than 160 artists from around the world will present works that delve into materiality, symbolism, and interactivity, reflecting the most pressing concerns and narratives of today. This year, the fair strengthens its commitment to experimentation, offering visitors a platform where art engages directly with the audience, free from constraints.
A space for boundless creativity
UVNT 2025 returns to Matadero Madrid from 6th to 9th March with an edition packed with new features. More than 40 national and international galleries will showcase works by over 160 artists, reinforcing the fair’s status as a hub of contemporary art. This year, ceramics will take centre stage, reflecting its growing appeal among both creators and collectors. Additionally, the fair debuts FOCO LATAM, a curated section that will bring the talent of nine Latin American galleries to Madrid.
Art beyond the fair: Interventions and dialogues
One of the most dynamic aspects of UVNT Art Fair is its ability to integrate art into the city, expanding its reach beyond the fairgrounds. In its ninth edition, the Public Art Programme will once again fill Madrid with sculptures and installations in iconic locations, transforming the urban landscape into a canvas of contemporary expression.
Additionally, digital art will take a leading role with an innovative proposal that transcends the walls of the fair. A hundred digital billboards across the capital will display works by five emerging digital artists: Volcia, Sophie Koko, Jackasswedge, Gabriel Massan, and Bora.
This initiative, driven by CREATE, the Spanish design appliance brand, in collaboration with JCDecaux, Madrid Capital de Moda, and Todo está en Madrid, explores the central theme of dissident corporeality, engaging with new digital narratives that challenge normative standards through animation, social media, and video games, with influences from pop art and fashion.
The Digital Art Programme will also be integrated within the fair itself, where works by these five artists will be displayed on CREATE Art Matte televisions, offering an immersive experience inside the UVNT Art Fair pavilion.
Meanwhile, the UVNT Mahou Talks space, designed by Enorme Studio, will serve as a key meeting point for artistic debate and reflection, further establishing UVNT as a hub of dialogue and avant-garde thought in contemporary art.
