This increasingly common experience became the starting point of the project. Together with her sister, Khady Ly<\/span><\/span><\/em>, she envisioned a space capable of generating that same effect intentionally: a place that acts as a creative catalyst.<\/p>\n The naming perfectly reflects the essence of the concept. It begins with the word “cosy”, associated with comfort and warmth. But the idea evolves into something more social, more open: Cosy – Causer – Causier.<\/em><\/p>\n An almost intuitive transition that introduces notions of conversation, community, and connection. The result is a new yet familiar word that defines both the space and the experience.<\/p>\n Causier<\/em> is not just a place to have coffee or brunch \u2014 it is an environment designed to organically activate creativity.<\/p>\n Inspiration lies in the details: an open book, light filtering through a window, an overheard conversation, a beautifully presented dish, or a song that lingers. The space functions as a “living moodboard” \u2014 a dynamic canvas where everything contributes.<\/p>\n One of Causier<\/em>\u2019s core pillars is its emotional architecture. The project, developed by Espace Empty<\/span><\/span><\/em> and CDLT<\/span><\/span><\/em>, is conceived as an extension of the home: “the house you choose, not the one you escape from”<\/em>.<\/p>\n At its heart lies a large communal table designed by Tom Ducarouge<\/span><\/span><\/em>, accommodating up to 24 people \u2014 an element that invites both focus and spontaneous interaction.<\/p>\n Surrounding it, a curved banquette creates a softer, more domestic atmosphere. The concrete counter, robust and sculptural, acts as the central hub where coffee, kitchen, and occasional events converge.<\/p>\n The result is a balanced, functional, and visually cohesive space, with a photogenic aesthetic that never feels forced.<\/p>\n Leading the kitchen is Khady Ly<\/em>, whose hospitality experience is deeply shaped by family influence.<\/p>\n This sense of abundance translates into a generous culinary offering, where brunch takes centre stage without excess or unnecessary embellishment.<\/p>\n The menu combines recognisable classics with refined execution. The pancakes \u2014 fluffy and served with halal beef bacon, butter, and maple syrup \u2014 stand out for their balance and consistency.<\/p>\n The Breakfast Burrito<\/em>, one of the most popular dishes, blends scrambled eggs, cheddar, red beans, sweet potato, spinach, and corn \u2014 a complete option suited both for everyday meals and post-workout refuelling.<\/p>\n The Salmon Eggstra Benedict<\/em> offers a refined take on the classic, with smoked salmon, soft eggs, creamed spinach, and hollandaise sauce on brioche.<\/p>\n The sweet selection follows the same philosophy: familiar, yet distinctive.<\/p>\n Blueberry Pancakes<\/em> are elevated with mascarpone cream for balance, while the Banana French Toast<\/em> combines toasted brioche, caramelised banana, mascarpone, cashews, and coconut-lime caramel.<\/p>\n Each dish is designed to fit seamlessly within the overall concept \u2014 no excess, no unnecessary disruption.<\/p>\n Causier<\/em> places strong emphasis on ingredient origin. The bread comes from La Fourn\u00e9e Saint-Antoine<\/em>, a local benchmark in artisanal baking. Eggs are free-range, bacon is halal, and smoked salmon is selected for its quality and texture.<\/p>\n Coffee plays a central role in the experience.
