Conceived as an independent pavilion within the garden, the project rethinks how we inhabit domestic space, proposing an architecture that is lighter, more flexible and open to experimentation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"918\">Developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lucasyhernandezgil.com\/#\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Lucas <\/em>y<em> Hern\u00e1ndez-Gil<\/em><\/a> through <a href=\"https:\/\/krestadesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Kresta Design<\/strong><\/a>, the project emerges as an extension of <em>CASAMONTESA<\/em>, a small house located in the Sierra de Madrid, near the San Juan reservoir.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"1085\">The initial need was clear: to expand the programme without resorting to a conventional extension. The result, however, goes far beyond a purely functional solution.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"1085\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-99081 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ccmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/KRESTA-GARDEN-HOUSE-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1176\" height=\"1550\" \/><\/p>\n<h6 data-section-id=\"141s18d\" data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1126\">A pavilion that multiplies uses<\/h6>\n<p data-start=\"1128\" data-end=\"1396\"><em>Kresta Garden House<\/em> operates as an autonomous structure capable of adapting to different moments and needs. Rather than adding volume to the main house, the programme is fragmented and partially relocated into the garden, freeing up the original dwelling and redistributing its uses in a more open and flexible way.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2379\" data-end=\"2677\">This decision doesn&#8217;t only address functionality; it transforms the way the space is inhabited. Rather than designing from scratch, the team chose to work with prefabricated systems, later adapted.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3179\" data-end=\"3331\"><em>\u201cIt felt like a natural way to approach the design; starting from efficient industrialised systems with the possibility of customisation,\u201d<\/em> they explain.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3333\" data-end=\"3469\">This introduces a hybrid logic between the industrial and the domestic, where technical efficiency coexists with a habitable atmosphere.<\/p>\n<h6 data-section-id=\"q8chnq\" data-start=\"3476\" data-end=\"3520\">Between the domestic and the experimental<\/h6>\n<p data-start=\"3522\" data-end=\"3693\"><em>Kresta Garden House<\/em> occupies an intermediate territory between shelter and open space.
