From a tactile exploration of natural textures to an introspective installation on mental wellbeing, design was not only seen \u2014 it was felt.<\/p>\n More than a design event, 3daysofdesign 2025<\/em> became a cultural phenomenon, turning the entire city into a living platform for ideas. And while the numbers reflect its vast reach and impact, what truly defined this edition was something far more intangible: a deep, shared sense of purpose and connection.<\/p>\n The result? A powerful demonstration that great design does not divide \u2014 it unites.<\/p>\n Now, as the design world looks ahead to the next edition (from 10 to 12 June 2026), one thing is clear: in Copenhagen, design has not only found a home \u2014 it has found a heartbeat.<\/p>\n As you might imagine, this edition featured countless remarkable proposals, launches and unforgettable installations. That\u2019s why we\u2019ve selected some of the festival\u2019s most exciting inspirations.<\/p>\n Here begins our second journey through the brands, spaces and ideas that most moved us in this vibrant edition of 3daysofdesign 2025. If you missed the first part of our coverage, you can find it here: 3daysofdesign 2025 \u2013 Design with purpose (1\/2)<\/a>.<\/u><\/p>\n FRITZ HANSEN: \u201cShaping Lasting Design\u201d \u2014 Hospitality and legacy<\/strong><\/p>\n Fritz Hansen<\/em><\/a> celebrated 153 years of Danish design, craftsmanship and innovation with Shaping Lasting Design<\/em> \u2014 a dual showcase exploring the dialogue between heritage and modernity. On one side, the brand hosted a gastronomic pop-up in Orangeriet<\/em>, right in the heart of the King\u2019s Garden<\/em>, where design met hospitality in a refined yet relaxed setting. On the other, its Copenhagen Flagship Store was transformed into an experiential centre celebrating the brand\u2019s past, present and future \u2014 from archive pieces to new launches, including live demonstrations of restoration and assembly.<\/p>\n The exhibition captured the essence of Fritz Hansen<\/em> as a symbol of enduring design \u2014 a philosophy that sees aesthetics not as trend, but as a functional and emotional legacy for generations to come.<\/p>\n A\u2013N\u2013D: Design, light and sips of creativity<\/strong><\/p>\n During the festival, A\u2013N\u2013D<\/em><\/a> transformed a gallery into a vibrant space with Caf\u00e9 A\u2013N\u2013D Bar<\/em>, an ephemeral exhibition where their iconic luminaires coexisted with BOON_Editions<\/em> furniture and handcrafted glass from J. Hill\u2019s Standard<\/em>. At the entrance, La Marzocco<\/em>, alongside rRebel and Sensei<\/em>, served bespoke coffee, while pieces by OS&OOS<\/em> and Peet Broek<\/em> complemented the atmosphere. As dusk fell, the caf\u00e9 evolved into an alcohol-free cocktail bar featuring Mood Drinks<\/em>.<\/p>\n MULLER VAN SEVEREN \u00d7 OFFICE KGDVS \u00d7 BD Barcelona: RASTER \u2014 Modular elegance between art and architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Belgian firm Muller Van Severen<\/em><\/a> joined forces with OFFICE KGDVS<\/em> and BD Barcelona<\/em> to unveil RASTERS<\/em>, a collection of cabinets and screens inspired by sculpture and architecture. At first glance, RASTERS<\/em> is built on an industrial grid structure, but after evaluating environmental impact, this was replaced with lacquered solid beech and beech veneered MDF<\/em>, paired with powder coated steel for doors and panels. Moulded polyamide connectors allow flexible assembly \u2014 units can grow horizontally without limit.<\/p>\n The range is defined by chromatic lightness \u2014 a balance of natural wood and coloured metal \u2014 giving each piece a contemporary, emotive presence. Designed for domestic, work and hybrid environments, RASTERS<\/em> combines timeless aesthetics with peak functionality and sustainability, meeting real organisational and spatial needs.<\/p>\n KVADRAT: Sensory frequencies and enveloping acoustics<\/strong><\/p>\n Kvadrat<\/em><\/a> introduced Frequency<\/em>, a curtain and rug collection exploring light, colour and movement through the concept of frequency. Led by Isa Glink<\/em> with Studio Meyers & F\u00fcgmann<\/em> and Studio Greiling<\/em>, the collection merges advanced spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing techniques with regenerative materials like alpaca, llama and pineapple leaf fibre (PALF), alongside recyclable fibres such as Trevira CS<\/em>, organic cotton and hemp.<\/p>\n Structurally complex, prismatic fabrics play with light and shadow, creating subtle visual rhythms. Double-layered curtains like Sideway<\/em>, Set In<\/em> and Reverse<\/em> feature reversible tones that change with light and perspective.<\/p>\n Rugs Souma<\/em> and Souma Stripe<\/em> continue this narrative through rhythmic textures and refined touch, extending the Kelim family with purist, natural palettes. Frequency<\/em> showcases how Kvadrat<\/em> is redefining the interplay between design, sensory experience and regenerative materials \u2014 with pieces that resonate with daily life and ambience.<\/p>\n Additionally, the brand unveiled Waves<\/em>, an acoustic curtain for multifunctional spaces in industrial refurbishments and cultural venues. Composed of three or four layers with Greenguard Gold-certified fabrics \u2014 including Divina<\/em>, Steelcut <\/em>and Remix Flow<\/em> \u2014 the curtain achieves significant noise reduction (up to 15 dB, or 70%) and features an elegant drape thanks to patented tapes and hooks. With spans up to 5?m and adaptable rails, Waves<\/em> is a technical yet aesthetic solution that offers acoustic privacy without sacrificing design. Easy to remove for cleaning, this curtain confirms Kvadrat<\/em>‘s prominence in marrying aesthetic sensitivity, technical innovation and ecological awareness.<\/p>\n OCCHIO: Light, colour and lifestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n Occhio<\/em><\/a> reaffirmed its commitment to the “new culture of light”<\/em>, where illumination not only beautifies but transforms quality of life. Renowned for its holistic approach and impeccable German design, the brand has established itself as a European leader in luxury lighting, evolving toward international reach while melding technology, aesthetics and sensory experience.<\/p>\n This year, Occhio<\/em> surprised with colours by Occhio<\/em>, a new chromatic palette that reinterprets its iconic restraint. Four new tones \u2014 sophisticated, vibrant and characterful \u2014 expand the creative potential of its collections, allowing fixtures to engage with more eclectic and bold styles without losing their essential elegance. This offering not only adds colour but attitude, proposing a new way to experience light: expressive, emotional and contemporary. With this move, Occhio<\/em> shows that designer lighting can indeed be versatile, joyful and personal.<\/p>\n ROCKFON: Acoustic design for holistic well being<\/strong><\/p>\n Rockfon<\/em><\/a> underlined its leadership in sustainable, high?performance acoustic solutions with a proposition that went far beyond noise control. In its Copenhagen showroom \u2014 designed by Spacon & X<\/em> \u2014 the brand invited visitors to explore Worlds Within<\/em>, a multisensory experience demonstrating how stone wool can transform spaces to foster creativity, comfort, human connection and sustainability.<\/p>\n Rockfon<\/em> demonstrated that acoustics can be a strategic ally in contemporary architecture. Its ceilings, panels, islands, baffles and customizable dividers not only reduce noise but also promote health, enhance productivity and elevate overall well?being in schools, offices, hospitals and other demanding environments.<\/p>\n Made from recyclable, durable materials, their products combine aesthetics, functionality and circularity, proposing a new way to approach interior design \u2014 one where sound, materials and people harmoniously coexist.<\/p>\n DDCATED Design Hub: A crucible of contemporary talent in the Lapidarium of Kings<\/strong><\/p>\n One of the most magical and distinctive venues of 3daysofdesign 2025<\/em> was undoubtedly the Lapidarium of Kings<\/em>, an historic museum in central Copenhagen, which became the stage for DDcated Design Hub<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n This enchanting setting brought together over 50 brands \u2014 from what lies minimalist wooden furniture by Cadot Design<\/em>, handcrafted rugs by Designercarpets Drechsle<\/em>, sculptural utility objects by Grape<\/em>, art-meets-function furniture by Ibride, to playful homeware by Nobodinoz<\/em>. The presence of Public Crafts <\/em>and Patch Design<\/em> added artisanal, sustainable flair, while Impact Acoustic<\/em> infused technical innovation into this multidisciplinary environment.<\/p>\n One of the freshest contributions came from 4AM Studio<\/em>, a collective founded in 2024 by four graduates from Camberwell College<\/em> of Arts<\/em>. Specialising in functional, playful ceramics, their pieces reinterpret small daily gestures with beauty, joy and utility \u2014 crafted to offer comfort and delight after a long day.<\/p>\n Inserted among century-old sculptures, these creators offered a vibrant dialogue between past and present, tradition and avant-garde \u2014 elevating design into an emotional, cultural and aesthetic experience. DDcated<\/em> thus became an essential stop for design enthusiasts seeking unique proposals in an authentic, inspiring format.<\/p>\n +HALLE: Design that adapts, breathes and transforms<\/strong><\/p>\n +Halle<\/em><\/a> once again demonstrated why it is one of the most innovative names in current Scandinavian design. Their ADP bench<\/em>, developed with Spacon & X<\/em>, was among the festival\u2019s most visible and functional elements.<\/p>\n Placed in key locations such as their showroom and the shared exhibition Other Circle<\/em>, this bench offers a circular seating topology at different heights \u2014 inviting rest, social interaction or simple contemplation. Its fluid form not only enhances the space but actively responds to human behaviour \u2014 fulfilling +Halle<\/em>\u2019s mission to design out of empathy and observation.<\/p>\n Alongside, the standout piece was the Shrinx lounge chair<\/em>, a remarkable design by Boris Berlin<\/em> that defies industry norms by completely eliminating polyurethane foam \u2014 one of the most polluting and difficult-to-recycle materials in upholstered furniture. In its place, Berlin uses a steel frame covered with pre-sewn textile that, when heated, contracts and tightens to provide a comfortable, ergonomic surface. Light, visually discreet and structurally honest, Shrinx<\/em> proves that comfort can be created responsibly.<\/p>\n ALPI: When wood becomes art<\/strong><\/p>\n ALPI<\/em><\/a> captivated visitors with an installation that masterfully conversed with both classical past and contemporary design. Titled Echoes of Form: classical shape, contemporary language<\/em>, the Italian brand \u2014 renowned for its expertise in reconstituted woods \u2014 presented a display curated by GamFratesi<\/em> within the stately Thorvaldsens Museum<\/em>.<\/p>\n Inspired by Bertel Thorvaldsen<\/em>\u2019s neoclassical sculptures and the museum\u2019s geometric interiors, the installation explored wood\u2019s expressive potential through volumes that played with light, pattern and texture. The experience began with a sculptural welcome counter, blending the warm grain of ALPI Xilo Walnut Striped<\/em> with the deep hues of ALPI Makassar Ebony<\/em> \u2014 achieving a perfect balance of sobriety and sophistication.<\/p>\n At the installation\u2019s heart lay fourteen wooden totems atop pedestals, engaging in an abstract dialogue with the surrounding architecture. Each piece was veneered to designs by eminent founders such as nendo<\/em>, Konstantin Grcic<\/em>, Piero Lissoni<\/em>, Est\u00fadio Campana<\/em> and GamFratesi<\/em> \u2014 showcasing the material\u2019s aesthetic versatility.<\/p>\n The result was a choreography of forms that united the past and present, technique and intuition, art and design.<\/p>\n Echoes of Form<\/em> marks the latest chapter in a series of curatorial projects ALPI<\/em> has run over the past eight years \u2014 reaffirming its commitment to formal innovation, artistic collaboration and sustainable wood practices.<\/p>\n SANCAL \u00d7 PAPER COLLECTIVE: Between Light and Matter<\/strong><\/p>\n Sancal<\/em><\/a> and Paper Collective<\/em><\/a> fused art, furniture and graphics in an exhibition celebrating boundless creativity. Titled Let the Light In<\/em>, the show took place in a historic apartment opposite Designmuseum Danmark<\/em>, transformed into a set of immersive rooms exploring the relationship between design, emotion and artistic expression.<\/p>\n Each room posed a provocative question: can art live in the home? Can a lounge become a gallery? What if a watercolor were applied to furniture? Amid sculptural sofas, watercolour-dyed furniture and graphic works by Lex Pott<\/em>, Studiopepe<\/em> and Raw Color<\/em>, the exhibition demonstrated that art can be lived and design can move.<\/p>\n Sancal<\/em> brought its Mediterranean vision through bold, expressive pieces; Paper Collective<\/em> added Nordic, artistic sensibility. Together, they created a multisensory journey connecting the graphic with the tangible, the everyday with the extraordinary.<\/p>\n MONICA F\u00d6RSTER \u00d7 FOGIA present Kern: Sculptural sustainability in its purest form<\/strong><\/p>\n Fogia<\/em><\/a> and award-winning designer Monica F\u00f6rster<\/em> unveiled Kern<\/em>, a new table system redefining sculptural form using a revolutionary material: OUTT<\/em>, made from marble quarry waste from northern Italy. The launch took place in a charming central Copenhagen venue \u2014 a perfect backdrop to highlight the collection\u2019s poetic materiality.<\/p>\n With asymmetrical lines, modular forms and finishes in white, grey or terracotta, each piece offers a softened brutalist expression with hand-forged edges \u2014 ensuring every table is unique. More than furniture, Kern<\/em> are soul?filled, tactile objects full of character. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, they evoke an elegant tension between mass and lightness, the primordial and the contemporary.<\/p>\n “Designing with OUTT has felt like finding poetry in the unexpected”<\/em>, says F\u00f6rster<\/em>. True to Fogia<\/em>\u2019s exploratory spirit, these pieces emerge from a collaboration combining innovation, emotion and strong material awareness.<\/p>\n MONTANA presents Paradigm<\/em>: A renewed modular icon<\/strong><\/p>\n Montana Furniture<\/em><\/a> has relaunched Paradigm<\/em>, the legendary modular sofa system designed by Erik Rasmussen<\/em> in 1969, showcased in a bright, contemporary Copenhagen showroom.<\/p>\n Sculptural in form and functionally adaptable, Paradigm <\/em>maintains its original essence whilst embracing new Kvadrat<\/em> and Gabriel fabrics<\/em>, secure connectors, removable covers and fully replaceable components \u2014 enhancing its durability and sustainability.<\/p>\n Available in a broad colour range, with optional high legs for easy cleaning and flame-resistant foam, Paradigm<\/em> becomes a versatile piece ideal for both residential and contract or hospitality settings. “Its visual clarity, flexibility and functionality perfectly align with our design DNA”<\/em>, said Joakim Lassen<\/em>, CEO of Montana Furniture<\/em>.<\/p>\n The sofa will be available from September 2025, following its debut at the event.
