The truth is we know this hotel brand well because when we go to London, we usually stay at the Shoreditch one, although we have also stayed at their hotels in Portland, Chicago and Amsterdam. They have all achieved what many seek to do which is to create a true experience, that is also welcoming – #homeawayfromhome<\/em>-, cool, and that offers its guests and locals an intense, varied and very interesting proposal.<\/p>\n

A hotel that inspires<\/h6>\n

Because, as we were saying, The Hoxton Poblenou<\/a> <\/u><\/em>\u2013 currently the largest hotel in the group- is the ideal spot for inspiration, without even intending to be. And not only because of the many details there are such as the interior design \u2013 made by their powerful internal team- but also due to the curation of those details. And that\u2019s where part of their success lies.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

From the delicious Three Marks<\/em> coffee, the excellent magazine selection chosen by News&Coffee<\/a><\/u><\/em>, their cosmetics by Rowse<\/a><\/u><\/em>, their clothes by\u00a0Brava Fabrics<\/a><\/u><\/em>, their sculptures by\u00a0Jose A. Roda<\/a><\/u><\/em>\u00a0\u2013 who has also undertaken the illustration of the access cards to rooms, the welcome cards, the coasters, etc.\u2013, the incredible chocolates by \u00a0L\u00d8T Roasters<\/em><\/a><\/u>, the pastries by\u00a0Funky Bakers<\/a><\/u><\/em>\u00a0or the Blank<\/em>\u00a0amenities<\/em>, that they themselves also created and the scent and packaging of which we love.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Art and books everywhere<\/h6>\n

As we mentioned before, another of the aspects that defines The Hoxton<\/em> is that they support art and culture at every one of their hotels. That\u2019s why there are books in every corner of the hotel and its walls are full of artwork by different artists as if it were an art gallery.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In fact, on the lower ground floor, where there is a multifunctional space for events, there is a huge beautiful mural, created by the artist Sandra Modrego<\/a>, <\/u><\/em>that is a tribute to women and feminism.<\/p>\n

Gastronomical spaces<\/h6>\n

There are two restaurants at The Hoxton Poblenou<\/em> plus the lobby bar.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Four Corners<\/em> is devoted to its delicious and original Detroit-style pizzas and pizzas al taglio that they create every day with sourdough and some unbeatable combinations. It is their own concept which is really resonating with the locals.<\/p>\n

The aesthetic of the restaurant is a favourite of ours. Specially the area where their Market <\/em>is, you\u2019ll go crazy there because you\u2019ll want to take everything. Because they sell great quality gastronomical products here with magnificent branding to boot.<\/p>\n

We recommend you go for eating at the bar which is right in front, from which you will see the restaurant and the lobby. It has a really great vibe, reminiscent of a traditional but renovated bodega<\/em>.<\/p>\n

And, if you prefer fresh air, there\u2019s nothing better than the terrace. A great option for having a vermouth.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

At the lobby bar, you can also eat, have breakfast, brunch, snack, have a specialty coffee or a cocktail.<\/p>\n

They have two menus, depending on the time of day and, we warn you, from 11am onwards, you can enjoy their bikini, <\/em>a ham and cheese toastie that is a classic that never disappoints and that, in our opinion, is the best in town!<\/p>\n

They prepare it with multigrain bread and a touch of mustard. Mmm\u2026<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And if what you fancy is a terrace with a view, the option is to eat or dine at the Tope <\/em>tacos place. This restaurant is located on the hotel rooftop and is specialized in tacos. Goodness, the tacos! If you like margaritas, it\u2019s a winning combo.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

From Barcelona to the heavens<\/h6>\n

Yes, yes, to the heavens… because the views on The Hoxton Poblenou<\/em>\u2019s rooftop terrace are truly wonderful.<\/p>\n

On one side, you can see the Agbar Tower<\/em> that is next to it \u2013 there is no better place from which to see its nocturnal light show-, the Sagrada Familia, <\/em>the Tibidabo, <\/em>Poblenou, the Parc Ciutadella<\/em> up to the Port Olympic, among other Barcelona beauties.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir rooftop is truly wonderful.\u201d<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As well as the sights, The Hoxton Poblenou<\/em> has a pool!!! And wonderfully comfortable beds for resting, to dry in the sun, have a drink or simply disconnect. What else?<\/p>\n

Excellent location<\/h6>\n

Poblenou is full of great places to discover: from the best specialty coffee shops like Three Marks<\/em> in the\u00a0Six N. Five<\/a><\/u><\/em> space,\u00a0Espai Joliu<\/em>,\u00a0Casa Taos<\/a><\/u><\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Nomad Coffee<\/em>, to fashion and design stores such as Mietis<\/em><\/a>. And of corse, restaurants such as Can Pizza<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Els Pescadors<\/em>, bars such as\u00a0Camping<\/em>, design and creativity schools like BAU<\/em>, museums such as\u00a0Ideal-Centre d’Arts Digitals<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Can Framis<\/em>, etc\u2026 Additionally, it\u2019s really close to the Born, the Parc del F\u00f3rum \u2013 essential now that the music festivals are coming up- the beach and it\u2019s really well connected to the rest of the neighbourhoods both by bus, tram, metro and bike.<\/p>\n

Events and more<\/h6>\n

Another of the hotel’s strong points is its events.<\/p>\n

And The Hoxton Poblenou<\/em> had to be just as good. It has different spaces for this purpose: one is L\u2019Appartament, <\/em>where we recently inaugurated \u201cEl Apartamento\u201d\u00a0by\u00a0CC\/magazine<\/a><\/u><\/em>,<\/u>\u00a0a series of inspiring encounters where we interview some of the most creative minds in the city. This spot is literally an apartment but without beds. It has a kitchen with several rooms and spaces. It\u2019s ideal.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

On the ground floor, they also have a very large multi-functional space, that can be panelled in different ways, depending on requirements. It\u2019s very well-lit and has an outdoor feel to it. The interior d\u00e9cor has the same cosy notes as the rest of the hotel.<\/p>\n

The rooftop terrace is also a space for events. It is divided in two parts, the area on the right, where you can enjoy views of the Sagrada Familia, is where they organize open air sports events, as well as any other type of event.<\/p>\n

As you will see, the hotel is a perfect place to meet, celebrate and create special acts.<\/p>\n

Rooms<\/h6>\n

The Hoxton Poblenou<\/em> is the largest in the hotel chain, as it has 240 rooms of Mediterranean inspiration, full of natural light. They have different types: Roomy, Roomy View, Biggy <\/em>or Homey Up. <\/em>They are all very cosy, thanks to their terracotta floors, the upholstery on the headboards, their different soft patterns and the decoration.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The rooms are spacious and full of details such as the vintage-style Roberts<\/em> radios, the Blank amenities, <\/em>the cans of Ocean 52<\/em> water and the works of art. As if this weren\u2019t enough, the beds and pillows are really comfortable, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent (you can\u2019t hear anything at all from outside!!!)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll say no more, what is clear is that they have achieved what many hotels try to do: be more than a hotel. Because The Hoxton Poblenou<\/em> can be experienced in many ways: sleeping in their comfortable rooms; enjoying an aperitif on the Four Corners<\/em> terrace or a coffee while you work in the lobby; buying a magazine or any of the select products from their shop that are sourced locally; reading one of their books on design, art, culture and architecture, that are present in every corner of the hotel; or participating in one of the activities they organize, among many other things\u2026Welcome to Barcelona!<\/em><\/p>\n
