Origó Bakery: An ode to good dough
Origó Bakery is a bakery specialized in handmade sourdough bread with traditional varieties in local and organic wheat types.
“To make our sourdough breads, we only use three ingredients: flour, filtered water and sea salt from the natural park of the Delta del Ebro. Without any other additives, no preservatives, no sugar, no fats, no added yeast, or enzymes!”
The creator of this project is François, who discovered his passion when he worked as an engineer for Google in San Francisco. Incredible, right? It turns out that after things became clear to him, he decided to travel and investigate to obtain his own recipe, in which the bread is kneaded by hand and allowed to proof for 17 hours… and believe us: it’s worth it. The flavour and quality of the loaves (wheat, spelt, rye, wheat-free… ) and sweets – their cinnamon or cardamom rolls are our favourites in the whole of the Ciudad Condal and many more – are equal to none.

The best thing is that they now have an online shop, and as well as their specialities, they have some great gift baskets with other excellent quality products so that the experience is increasingly better. They only have service in Barcelona.
