La Venus de las Pieles by David Serrano
A few months ago we were able to see Austrian writer Leopold von Sacher-Masoch (in the hands of French born, Polish director Roman Polanski)’s version of this play at the cinema, we can now see David Serrano (known due to Días de fútbol, El otro lado de la cama, Agonía and éxtasis de Steve Jobs)’s theatrical adaptation of the same text by David Ives at the Matadero (Madrid).
La Venus de las Pieles is a perverse love story starring Clara Lago and Diego Martín. A journey through the subterfuges of the human soul when we fall in love, while we face the following dichotomy: how can that which we most hate turn into that which we most adore?
